Happy Jackie Robinson Day!!!! I am
so excited that it’s Jackie Robinson Day today. Jackie Robinson was not just a baseball player, but also an
activist, a hero and a person who had ambition. He is not just apart of Black History and American History;
he is apart of World History.
He was the first black MLB player.
He was the recipient of the inaugural MLB Rookie of the Year Award in
1947. He won the National League
Most Valuable Player Award in 1949.
For Jackie Robinson Day, people
wear #42 on this day to honor him. He was the first pro athlete in any sport to
be so honored. I am going to
wear this #42 T-shirt that I designed today. You can design a shirt or buy the #42 baseball hat in
stores. You can also wear blue and
white to represent the Brooklyn Dodgers.
